The story

Emilie Ceretta was born on 11 September 1994 in Arzignano, in Vicenza’s leather-making region. Her journey began with dressmaking: studying, sewing and completing a placement at a tailoring workshop in San Bonifacio.

Pregnancy with her twin daughters led her to pause her studies. She returned when the girls turned one and completed her training, balancing work with her family and an older son.

Meanwhile, she set up a small workshop at home. While buying machines for sewing fabric, she was given one for leather. That gift sparked her curiosity: she gathered her first materials and began experimenting in 2023.

Working with an experienced leather craftsman in Arzignano helped her develop her skills and learn new techniques. She then chose to build her own business, creating patterns and developing the first bags she would later take to trade fairs.

Milləemmì was born at the end of 2023. Its name, imagined during nights rocking her twins to sleep, combines the French sound of Emilie with the thousand things in her days. It carries her wish to show that motherhood and pursuing a dream can go hand in hand.

Today she makes practical, carefully crafted bags, using leather offcuts for small accessories too. Her approach to craft reflects courage, care for materials and the value of individuality: a story of starting again that she has also told in a book.
